the 2007 annual AMVER awards

The 2007 annual AMVER awards which coincided with the 50th anniversary of the AMVER program were held at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Coast Guard.

122 Greek shipping companies received AMVER awards on behalf of 836 ships (a new record number) which ranked Greece in first place on the award podium for 2007.

The Greek Minister of Merchant Marine, Aegean and Islands Policy, the United States Ambassador Mr. Daniel V. Speckhard and the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard Admiral Thad W. Allen where invited to present the awards.

Mr. Alexandros Tsakos with Mr. Mark Paternoster on behalf of Entrust Maritime Co. Ltd. were honoured to have received four blue AMVER awards for the excellent onplot performance of the MV KOSMOS, the MV SANTA MARIA I, the MV YEROTSAKOS and the MV CAPTAIN D. GREGOS under the AMVER program.

Entrust Maritime Co. Ltd. extends its congratulations to all those in both shore and shipboard management which contributed to this significant accomplishment.
