our STORY

Entrust Maritime Co. Ltd. was first incorporated on January 6th, 1987 as Entrust Marine Services S.A.; a venture formed to provide reliable ship management services to what was then a limited international shipping community. Our starting fleet consisted of three tankers, M/T Takis E, M/T Asterias and M/T Captain Gregos and by 1989 we added another five tankers to the fleet for the account of Fal Bunkering, a company headquartered in the United Arab Emirates.

On March 3rd, 1991 the company name changed to Entrust Maritime Co. Ltd.

On March 18th, 1991 we purchased our first vessel, a 65,632 DWT 1973-built bulk carrier which was fixed for two years to a prominent Italian charterer.

Throughout the next four years we added a further six ships to the fleet, namely the 1) MV MARNIC ex-IRENES SAPPHIRE, 2) MV ALVET ex-IRENES EMERALD, 3) MV ELVETA ex-KEA EXPLORER, 4) MV ALEXANDER ex-IRENES BLESSING, 5) MV MANAMARIA ex-IONIAN WAVE and 6) the MV MARIANT ex-PRIAMOS.

Since inception Entrust Maritime Co. Ltd. has managed thirty vessels of which twenty-one were bulk carriers, eight were tankers and one ro-ro.

As testament to our commitment to quality ship management, we received in 1996 our SEP/ISM (Safety and Environmental Protection/International Safety Management code) certification by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), three years well before the code became compulsory for ship management companies.

As we steered our course through the past two decades we have learnt that secure and efficient ship transport is, above all, a form of art.
